The project will be a replacement of a 1964 Courthouse & renovation and expansion of a 1992 Detention Center as developed by Hussey Gay Bell. The work will include the construction of a three (3)story courthouse of approximately 55,500 sq. ft. on a three (3) acre site and renovation of an existing Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center with the addition of approximately 76 beds/40 new cells. This project impacts and benefits owner by allowing it to close an outdated, aging facility and replace it with a secure, energy efficient, operationally safe facility with appropriate programming space and meets current standards and guidelines for a courthouse. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
