Replacement shingles will be Three-Tab, Owens Corning Oakridge Shingles (or comparable). Color preferred will be disclosed during Pre-Bid Meeting. The Kynar Series Color Chart is attached to the bid posting for reference. Specs on alternative brand(s) and model number(s) of roofing shingles must be provided with bid, if applicable. Existing shingles must be removed by Contractor. Roofs’ deck must be cleaned and prepped by Contractor. Roofs must be inspected for mold and water damage by the Contractor. All materials and labor to replace the asphalt roofs must be provided by the Contractor. Asphalt roofing felt must be applied by Contractor. Aluminum drip edge on all eaves must be installed by Contractor per IRBC guidelines. Flashing or ice water shield must be added to chimneys, all valleys, transitions, and roof penetrations by Contractor. All soil pipe flashing and seal must be replaced. Multiple magnet sweeps for nails must be performed by Contractor. Install new gutters around building. After this job’s completion, Contractor must clean up and inspect the perimeter of the building to ensure areas are free of construction debris. All roofing work performed must meet any local building codes. Maintaining and securing all project materials, equipment, and supplies will be the Contractor’s responsibility. DCS will provide a designated area outside of the building for the Contractor to bring a storage unit to securely store materials, equipment, and supplies at the end of each workday. The project must be completed within three (3) weeks of date contract is awarded. If an extension of time is needed, Contractor can discuss the option with DCS during the Logistics Meeting. A minimum of three (3) Business References must be submitted with bid. The awarded supplier(s) shall be required to furnish a performance bond or an irrevocable letter of credit to the State Entity for the faithful performance on the contract in an amount equal to the amount of contract award. The bond shall be issued by a Corporate Surety authorized to do business with the State of Georgia.
