USDA Water System Improvements - Phase Project, Kingston GA

The Project consists of constructing water system improvements in four (4) Divisions: Division I: Insert approx. 30 new 8, 6, & 4-inch gate valves under pressure on existing water mains; Cut-in and replace approx. 58 existing 8, 6, 4, & 2-inch gate valves, located on existing water mains; Division II: Furnish and install approx. 7,800 LF of 8-inch C-900 pipe, 1,500 LF of 6-inch ductile iron pipe, 8 fire hydrants, 24 valves, 70 LF 20-inch casing at railroad crossing; 44 LF 16-inch casing at SR 293, and reconnect 47 existing water services; Division III: Furnish and install a 4-inch interconnection assembly with a meter/BFP vault and a PRV vault, including approximately 1,250 LF of 6-inch ductile iron pipe and a minor creek crossing; Division IV: Furnish and install approx. 5,300 LF of 6-inch C-900 PVC water main, 5 fire hydrants, and reconnect approx. 24 existing water services. All Divisions include valves, fittings, service lines, re-connections, and related incidentals, including clearing, excavation, backfill, traffic control, erosion control, pavement saw-cutting and restoration, hydrostatic testing, disinfection, final clean-up and restoration, for a complete and functional replacement and/or installation of public water facilities. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. The Project is funded by USDA-Rural Development loan and grant funds. Payment for the Work will be made periodically on the basis of Contractor's Applications-for-Payment processed by the Engineer.
