The State of Utah Division of Facilities and Management and Construction is inviting bids for all labor, tools, equipment, and expenses to provide This project will construct an eight-story addition to the northwest of Phase III of the HCI complex. An architectural firm has been retained and is currently undertaking project programming. Total building will be approximately 190,000 square feet (sf), will tentatively house hospital and clinical programs listed below*: Women’s Center – outpatient exam, procedure, consult, mammography Expansion of Wellness and Integrative Health Center Fitness/ exercise space Inpatient rooms: 45-50 Oncology faculty workspace Additional food service kitchen Physician and administrative offices space Additional patient/visitor parking 44,000 sf of warm shell space Exact building use and configuration is subject to modifications HEALTH CAMPUS NORTH PATIENT PARKING STRUCTURE: This project will be a parking structure containing between 1000 and 1700 parking stalls. The project scope may grow to contain up to 150,000 square feet of shelled or built out office space. The project may include enclosed pedestrian bridges or tunnels connecting the parking structure to the adjacent Huntsman V Hospital and/or the University of Utah Hospital across the street. Phase 1 work by CMCG and Architect will solidify project scope, budget and schedule. Required board approvals, procurement processes, and funding may impact project schedule. It is anticipated that the completion of this parking structure will coincide with the completion of the Huntsman V project making this parking structure a impact on construction of the Huntsman V Hospital. The University has procured a traffic and parking consultant to aid in decision making for this parking structure. Road improvements and modifications, including in-street underground parking access, are being considered. These Projects will be required to achieve LEED Silver certification as a minimum. Bonds required.
