The project will repair the earthen slope that was damaged as a result of the January 2017 rain events, which caused a surficial failure along the northwesterly slope of the Walteria Reservoir. The City is working with CalOES and FEMA to repair the slope to the pre-disaster condition. The site is located in the southeast quadrant of the City located between the Walteria Reservoir and the Rancho Plaza (25660 Crenshaw Blvd) near the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Rolling Hills Road.
