The South San Luis Obispo County Sanitation District (District) invites qualified contractors to submit an application for prequalification for construction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Redundancy Project. The project work will include construction of: A primary effluent pump station. An aeration basin feed control box. An aeration basin feed pump station. Two activated sludge aeration basins, with mixers, mixed liquor return pumps, fine bubble diffusers, process air system, and waste activation sludge pumps. A masonry building near the aeration basins for process air blowers and electrical equipment. A secondary clarifier, with return activated sludge pumps and scum pump. Ground improvements in areas of new construction. Rehabilitation of the existing secondary clarifier, and construction of a new return activated sludge pump station and new sludge pump. Waste activated sludge thickening with new rotary drum thickeners, polymer feed system, and thickened sludge pumps. Yard piping, fire water systems, and paving and grading improvements associated with the upgrades listed above. Site improvements associated with the upgrades listed above. Flood control improvements to protect existing facilities. A generator to provide standby power for new systems. Instrumentation and controls and electrical systems associated with the upgrades listed above. Valves, gates, and other work required to make a complete and operable facility.
