The City of Fresno is soliciting proposals for abatement services provided by a Sole Contractor who shall furnish to the Development and Resource Management Department (DARM) labor, equipment, and materials necessary to abate all weeds, trash, rubbish, junk and debris upon the streets, curbs, gutters, unimproved easements, sidewalks, parkways, park strips, alleys and or private property within the City of Fresno, as well as boarding up and securing open and vacant buildings (Hereafter “Abatement Services”), as designated by specifically authorized DARM staff as authorized agent(s), limited by the particular duties entrusted to them. In no instance may any project or job be approved in excess of amounts authorized under the Fresno Municipal Code, unless and until all appropriate procedural requirements have been met. The City’s preference is to hire a Sole Contractor responsible for the entire scope of Abatement Services. This preference for a Sole Contractor is not intended to discourage the use of sub-contractors in the performance of the Abatement Services, but rather to help ensure diligent and complete delivery of Abatement Services. The Weed Abatement and Public Nuisance Abatement Services (Abatement Services) contract will be a one (1) year contract with an option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year periods, for a total of five (5) years. Bond required. Q&A due by 04/30/19 at 5Pm. SBE/DVBE goals.
