Well 19 Generator Replacement Project will consist of the provision, installation, and testing of new standby backup power generator in case of emergency to Well 19 and the Corralitos Filtration Plant, including all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for the complete and satisfactory installation. The current site contains an existing portable generator to be disconnected and decommissioned. The new diesel, stationary emergency-standby generated shall be rated for 350 kW, wired for 277/480 VAC, three phase, 60 HZ, with Level 1 Acoustic Enclosure, control panel, minimum 400 usable gallon double-wall base tank, spill containment, and vent extension. The Contractor shall ensure the new generator is compatible with and meets demands of the existing electrical system and Monterey Air Resources Board (MBARD) requirements. New conduits for electrical, instrumentation, controls wiring may tie into the existing conduits where possible, with new conduits, wiring, panels, etc. provided as needed for complete installation. The existing automatic transfer switch is to remain in service. The Contractor shall be responsible for successful start-up and testing. A new concrete pad shall be provided and installed for the generator. Existing asphalt paving shall be removed and replaced as needed to accommodate the new pad and conduit trenching. Bonds required.
