The Winding Brook Flood Mitigation Project consists of the following: Coordinate with the Town of Wallkill DPW and local utility companies to prevent interruption of services during construction. Furnish and install precast concrete box culvert with natural stream bottom. Furnish and install precast wing walls. Furnish and install 18” HDPE pipe and two (2) new precast catch basins to replace existing 18” RCP storm drain. Furnish and install 6” DIP water main to replace existing 6” AC water main at the stream crossing. Furnish and install 8” DIP sewer main to replace existing 8” sewer main at the stream crossing. Regrade stream channel. Place Rip-Rap. Remove and replace existing guide rail with box beam guard rail. Restore pavement. Maintenance and protection of traffic. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guarantee in an amount equal to at least 5% of the amount of the Bid, payable to the Town of Wallkill as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
