The City of Waco has issued this bid solicitation to have two (2) spiral type heat exchangers, with ancillary equipment and piping, installed at the Waco Metropolitan Area Regional Sewer System (WMARSS) Central Plant. The new heat exchangers replace existing tube-type exchangers and will remove heat from a closed generator/boiler water circulation loop and input the recovered heat into sludge that is circulated within anaerobic digesters. The City of Waco will provide the heat exchangers. All other materials and labor will be supplied by the selected contractor. The heat exchanger units are already onsite at the WMARSS Central Plant. The City of Waco desires the heat exchangers to be installed as soon as possible, and expects the project to be completed within 180 calendar days after issue of a project notice to proceed. All components, except the heat exchanger units, shall be provided with a 12 month labor and material warranty. Prevailing wages. Bonds required. MWSBE encouraged.
