A response to this ad is needed to obtain bid documents. A nonprofit organization, housed in a two-building, 80,000 sq ft, seven-level campus is seeking sealed bids for sales and installation of security-related enhancements. The buildings are located in a Landmark District and are on the National Register of Historic Places in New York City, The project(s) include(s): Equipment and installation of a physical access and ID control system. Equipment, locks, hardware, and installation of two sets of impact-resistant double doors to secure or replace existing doors and door frames to meet the Department of State Forced Entry Standard. Construct/install equipment for blast mitigation/window hardening, while maintaining our historic look of stained glass. Project includes steel frames, related materials, and other required Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) approval before work begins. Upgrading existing equipment, and/or purchasing new equipment for installation of a CCTV system to enhance the quality of the monitoring of building security and improvement of safety. The projects are part of two separate RFPs. Bids may be made on one, or both, RFPs or selected project parts. Selection criteria will be based upon knowledge of current surveillance and security industry best practices, adherence to work schedule, meticulous attention to financial bookkeeping, demonstrated prior experience, proven experience successfully working with LPC, references, and cost. Bids may be submitted according to the following timeline: Begin Date End Date Action 2/15/2021 2/19/2021 Bid Committee reviews RFPs 2/15/2021 2/15/2021 RFP advertisements published in chosen sources 2/15/2021 2/26/2021 Bidders request RFP(s) 3/1/2021 3/12/2021 Bidders may: -review the RFPs -schedule and attend site visits, if they feel that this will help inform their proposal -submit any questions to the Bid Committee 3/15/2021 3/19/2021 Bidders have (1) one week to finalize and submit a detailed proposal for the work they have selected, adhering strictly to the rules and Bidder Requirements outlined in the RFPs. 3/22/2021 3/26/2021 The Bid Committee will take (1) week to review all proposals, generate a short list of qualified candidates, and pose any questions in writing to bidders. 3/29/2021 4/2/2021 Bidders will be notified of their status by the end of business Monday, 3/29/2021. Finalists will have (1) week to review and respond to any Company questions. The deadline for final bidder questions is 4/2/2021. 4/5/2021 4/9/2021 Company will take one (1) week to respond to bidder questions. Bidders will revise their proposals based upon these answers. 4/12/2021 4/16/2021 The Bid Committee will take (1) week to do a final review of the short list of candidates and select a vendor. 4/19/2021 4/19/2021 Selected vendor is notified on 4/19/2021. 4/20/2021 4/30/2021 Detailed work and payment plan presented to Company by no later than 4/30/2021 5/7/2021 5/7/2021 Work will begin by a reasonable and mutually agreeable date between both parties. 5/7/2021 8/30/2021 Work must be completed no later than August 30, 2021. We must submit all final receipts and bookkeeping materials to FEMA no more than 30 days later for reimbursement.
