Subcontractor/Supplier Quotes and Required Form to be submitted on Monday, August 1, 2022 by 5PM. The Invitation to Bid and all contract documents issued by the owner (including plans/specs), are located in the Files tab in BuildingConnected, or you can also access the documents at our public Box site: https://stacywitbeck.box.com/v/guadaluperiver Project Description: a) Full replacement of the Northbound Bridge (MT1) built in 1935 on wooden piles from a 187-foot in length to new 265-foot bridge with center steel deck plate girder span of 110 foot over the river; b) Partial replacement of Southbound Bridge (MT2) which was built in 1990 by replacing the south abutment and extending it from an existing of 195 feet bridge to approximately 250 feet; c) Installation of new conduits & pull boxes to accommodate fiber optic cable relocations by carriers; d) Remove & replacement of OCS pole & wires on MT2 bridge as required to accommodate construction; e) Environmental mitigation, channel grading & planting. All subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance, and worker’s compensation insurance coverage meeting Stacy and Witbeck’s requirements. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreements can be obtained by contacting the estimator. In addition, subcontractors are required to register with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), as required by Public Contract Code Section 1725.5, please furnish DIR number with your quote submittal. SWI is an Affirmative Action/EEO company and is willing to assist qualified certified DBE firms and other small business certified firms to achieve our subcontractor/supplier goals. Subcontractors will be required to provide a 100% performance and a 100% payment bond for the full amount of the subcontract price. Items of work may be broken down into an economically feasible package to encourage participation. Please also provide bond rates with your submitted bids. In some cases, we may be able to provide assistance obtaining bonds, lines of credit, insurance, necessary equipment, supplies, materials, as well as any related assistance in services to subcontractors who may otherwise be at a disadvantage.
