The project includes the interior fit-out of two storage/ mechanical spaces on the lower level of the existing Arundel HS building. The newly created spaces will be used as a toilet room and changing room with multiple single-user compartments in each, for non-gender specific students. The new toilet room will include single-user toilet compartments with new framed walls, doors, and sinks in the main shared space. One ADA accessible compartment will be provided, and this compartment includes an Add-Alternate shower stall. New plumbing fixtures will be tied to existing sanitary and water supply. The new changing room will include single user-changing compartments and one ADA accessible compartment with new framed walls and doors. Lockers, benches and mirrors are provided within this room. Both rooms will include new HVAC and exhaust, with a combination of new equipment and connection to existing adjacent utilities, equipment and ductwork. Demolition of existing masonry wall assemblies at the corridor is required to provide doorways into the two new spaces. Openings in these walls will require supporting of the openings with supplemental structural elements. All new spaces and affected areas surrounding the construction will be provided with new finishes. One Alternate is included in the Project, which is to provide a transfer shower within the ADA accessible toilet compartment. All additional walls, finishes, lighting, plumbing, fixtures, accessories, electrical and other utilities and components indicated to provide a complete construction. MBE goal 25%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
