Contractor to remove containerized stormwater treatment system (includes the container and all items within the container), cut and cap associated utilities, remove concrete footings under the treatment system, and remove backwash tank. Most stormline connections will be protected and remain. There are electrical outlets around the base of the stormwater storage tank (the storage tank is being protected and left in place) that will need to be protected and connections maintained or restored to the electrical panel. There is a stormwater discharge pipe carrying effluent from the temporary treatment system which must be secured and protected to allow potential fork truck traffic to cross over it and a ramp or similar constructed to allow this crossing. The flexible storm discharge line is a pressurized flow when the pump is actively discharging effluent. The discharge location where this flexible pipe connects is a valved hard plumbed standpipe. The standpipe and connection receiving the efflucent discharge flex pipe will need to be modified by lowering it closer to grade so that motorized or manual and pedestrian traffic can cross between the discharge standpipe and the recirculation hard pipe adjacent to it, to the maximum extent feasible (see photo 2 of 3). This project may require the temporary deactivation of the active stormwater treatment system. All periods of deactivation of the active system must be minimized to the extent practicable and coordinated with the Metro Project Manager seven (7) business days in advance. The timing of shutdown periods of the active stormwater treatment system may need to be adjusted based on system water levels, current and anticipated rainfall conditions, and anticipated length of the shutdown period. Metro is removing media, sludges and water from the treatment system prior to the contracted demolition; however, should there be any residual media, sludges or water encount Prevailing wages.
