The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as “VDOT”) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide Carpentry and Painting Services on an “as needed and on-call” time and materials, requirements basis, to facilities owned or operated by VDOT within the Residencies of Fredericksburg, Saluda, and Northern Neck (Reference Attachment J). The Fredericksburg District which encompasses these counties has over 200 building/structures in its inventory. For bidding purposes the Fredericksburg District will be broken down into three (3) lots. Lot 1 - Fredericksburg Residency- Caroline, Spotsylvania, and Stafford Counties. Lot 2 - Saluda Residency- Essex, Gloucester, King & Queen, King William, Mathews, Middlesex Counties and Lot 3 - Northern Neck Residency- King George, Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond, and Westmoreland Counties. Contractors are not required to bid on all three lots. This contract will be a time and materials award. Period of contract: The initial one (1) year contract beginning date will be from the date of award through one year (renewable) with an option for four (4), successive one (1) year renewals. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM on May 16, 2022. SBE goal 42%. Bonds required.
