This project is for the total removal of the overhead sign at the entry to CLT Center lane and Harlee Road. The project includes the removal of the three supporting columns and the center concrete curbing. The sign lettering will be returned to CLT for storage. Per the provided construction drawings, Express Deck Signage Demolition, this will be a turnkey project for the removal and disposal of the sign assembly with the demolition of the supporting concrete columns. The Company must schedule and manage the removal of this structure with a minimal impact to vehicle traffic entering or leaving and Express Deck/CLT Center and or traveling on Harlee Road. The Company shall keep one lane open for vehicles. The Company shall be responsible for providing a team of competent traffic control flaggers, traffic cones, luminated warning sign and construction barricades during the entire duration of the project work. The Company must remove the sign, letters and aluminum panels, crate the letters and panel and return to them to the Airport. This project also includes the removal of the electrical circuits and conduits which currently provides power to the sign. The electrical wiring must be removed all the way back to the electrical panel. This project will require a Mecklenburg County Electrical and Demolition permit, prior to starting the project. Any work causing dust and debris must be barricaded and confined to the space under construction.
