For the improvement of certain section of highways and bridges in Lackawanna County, Scott, Benton, Greenfield, South Abington Townships, City of Scranton, and Susquehanna County, Lenox Township, Commonwealth Of Pennsylvania, State Route 0081, Section 248, State Route 0081, Section CM3, and SR 8013, SR 8015, and SR 8021. To resurface Interstate 81 (American Legion Highway), bridge preservation in Scott, Benton, Greenfield, and South Abington Townships, and Scranton City in Lackawanna County. Roadway work will include milling, paving, base repair, joint repair, and pavement markings. This also includes all ramps (including the Northbound rest area and off/on ramps). Bridge work will include repairs consisting of Type 2 repairs, painting, latex overlays and expansion dam replacement on a total of twenty-seven (27) structures. Drainage improvements proposed include inlet tops, select underdrain locations and select roadway drainage structures in Lackawanna and Susquehanna County. HFST is included for the ramps at SR 8013, SR 8015 and SR 8021. Traffic control measures include Nighttime detours, short and long term lane closures. All work contained within an overall length of 176,557 linear feet (33.44 miles) as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package. DBE goal 3%. Prequalification required. Required Completion: 11/01/24. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
