Newtown Township is performing roadway rehabilitation along several Township roads and is accepting bids online via PennBid for the Liquid Fuels Road Program. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to: replacement of concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, concrete curb gutter driveway depression, construction of concrete cheek walls and detectable warning surfaces, replacement of inlet tops and grates, inlet reconstruction, pavement repairs, asphalt pavement milling, installation of leveling/scratch course and wearing course, and replacement of pavement markings. The work also includes mobilization, maintenance and protection of traffic and erosion and sediment controls, as necessary to perform the work. The scope of work is more fully described in the Project Specifications herein and on the Construction Details.
