The proposed project if for the design and construction of a roof replacements for Grounds Building, Denny, Garinger and Robinson Hall, all located on the UNC Charlotte campus. Replacement of the exiting roofs will include roof insulation, flashings, caulking, copings, roof leaders as evaluated and needed for each building. The Designer will provide a roof evaluation and required testing (infrared scan, asbestos etc.), as needed, for each building listed. Evaluation/summary report will be prepared by the designer and will include existing conditions, recommended replacements/repairs/coatings and opinion of estimated costs for each building. Once decisions on project scopes for each building by the owner, the designer shall provide combined SD/DD & CD documents and estimated construction costs for University Review. Designer shall also provide bidding services, contracts review, construction administration, and inspection services for the roof installation. The design of the project will begin immediately after a contract is executed (May 2023) and will proceed through bidding (October 2023). Questions should be submitted via email only.
