The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to select a single qualified contractor for on-call standby pond cutting services. Individual cost will be based on the submitted Unit Prices per the contractor selected. The term of contract shall be for a one (1) year period with two (2) optional annual renewals. This Agreement shall terminate absolutely and without further obligation on the part of the County on June 30 of each succeeding and renewed year, as required by O.C.G.A. §36-60-13, as amended, unless terminated earlier in accordance with the termination provisions of this Agreement. This is an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity Contract for performing on-call pond cutting services. All ponds may not be cut per budget year, the maximum amount awarded per budget year is not to exceed $350,000. Typical work will include but is not limited to the following: 1) Cutting detention ponds, 2) Spraying pond fences, 3) Tree Removal, 4) Debris removal. The work may take place within County rights-of-way, easements or within specific areas delineated by a right of entry. All work will be performed and completed to the complete satisfaction and acceptance of the County. Contractor will abide by any and all applicable professional standards, local codes, manufacturers recommendations, and safe work practices. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to the performance of the work specified herein. This includes but not limited to the Georgia Stormwater Management Manual, current edition. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, supplies, equipment, fuel and other appurtenances necessary to provide stormwater on–call cutting as described in the scope of work. The contractor is responsible for removal and appropriate legal disposal of all associated debris and waste materials. The Contractor shall perform all of its obligations and functions under the Contract in accordance with the Contract specifications, industry standards and any manufacturers’ specifications. The Contractor shall adjust and coordinate its activities within five (5) days of the County issuing a task order. The Contractor shall meet the needs and requirements of the County and perform its activities so as not to annoy, disturb, endanger, unreasonably interfere with or delay the operations or activities of the County. Term: It is intended that Barrow County will enter into an agreement with a Contractor which shall terminate on June 30, 2025. Questions via email to Owner by 10/04/2022, 12:00pm. Bonds required.
