The project consists of (but is not limited to) grading and subsurface drainage improvements to address seepage near the Thomaston Mills Reservoir dam. This project includes excavation into the downstream toe and abutment of an existing dam to construct a subsurface drainage system. The proposed drainage system will be comprised of a blanket and trench drains as well as a series of collector and outlet pipes at the toe of the subject dam as a means to control seepage. Also included are erosion control, monitoring well modifications, and all other ancillary items for a complete and functional project. This project will be funded through local funds. All permits required for the construction of this project are expected to be obtained before the bid date. Acquisition of property for easements, right of way, etc. are expected to be obtained.
