The City of Miami Beach (“City”) constructed the 16th St parking garage in 1997. The existing fire sprinkler system is in poor condition and in need of replacement. Similarly, existing fire alarm system devices and interconnecting raceways are in need of replacement. Work of this project includes the demolition of existing fire sprinkler systems, standpipe system and associated fire pump serving the 16th St Parking Garage, and the installation of a new automatic wet-pipe sprinkler system; automatic standpipe system with diesel driven fire pump and electrically driven jockey pump including new double detector check valve assembly connected to existing water supply and replacement Fire Department connections in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 13, 14, 20 and 24.
