Accomack County’s Department of Building, Planning & Economic Development is requesting proposals from qualified and insured Electrical Contractors, licensed to do business in the state of Virginia, to perform the required electrical inspections for residential and commercial structures, on an as needed basis, but with the stipulation that the successful offeror must be available to perform county inspections at least two (2) days per week. Inspections are performed in concert with the number of permit applications received as construction or renovation progresses on each permitted site. Residential and commercial electrical inspections are also performed in accordance with the Uniform Statewide Building Code and County Building and Zoning Code Requirements. The contract for the required services shall be for one (1) initial year with four (4) additional successive one-year terms available if mutually agreeable to both parties. Questions due 5 days prior to bid date. Bonds required.
