The project involves providing Americans with Disability Act (ADA) access at locations along IL Route 136 through the city of Fulton, Whiteside County, where the current sidewalk ramps do not meet the guidelines. There are 12 intersections along the route identified for improvement. The 4th Street to 14th Street intersections each have 4 corner ramps and the intersection with Great River Trail has 2 ramps for a total of 46 ramp improvements. Each ramp will have the sidewalk removed and replaced with ADA compliant grades with a detectable warning pad at the edge of the crosswalk. The curb and gutter will be rebuilt and the pavement will be patched. The 4th Street intersection is signalized and will have push buttons relocated or installed and have a corner refuge island construction. All incidental and collateral work necessary to complete this project as shown on the plans and described herein are also included in the project. Contract Time: 35 working days. Federally funded project Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
