The Chester Water Authority (CWA) proposes to install remote water service shutoff valves for sixty (60) accounts within the CWA service area. Existing water meter box covers at twenty-seven (27) properties will be replaced with a box cover equipped with a 2-inch diameter hole for a Touch Read Pit Lid (TRPL). Existing curb stops at fifteen (15) properties will be removed and replaced with new water meter boxes. Existing curb stops at sixteen (16) properties that are in close proximity to the adjacent properties’ curb stop will be removed and replaced with a dual water meter box. In general, the work includes, but is not limited to: installation of water meter boxes, installation of dual water meter boxes, installation of water meter box covers, sawcutting, concrete sidewalk restoration, brick sidewalk restoration, and landscaping restoration. Bids accepted online via PennBid. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply.
