Architectural & Engineering Services for Valley View Center for Nursing Care. The County of Orange ("County" or "Owner") is seeking Architectural/Engineering Services for improvements to various facilities owned, operated, maintained and/or leased by the County. Current potential specific projects are listed below and each will be awarded separately, although more than one project may be awarded to any selected Architectural/Engineering services firm (“Architect/Engineer”) and as various other County projects are initiated, quotes will be solicited from the various awarded Architect/Engineer firms selected for such a pool under this Request for Proposals. The Valley View Center for Nursing Care and Rehabilitation consists of three buildings, two water towers, a sewer plant on 36 acres of grounds on Glenmere Cove Road in Goshen, New York. The existing facilities are generally described as follows: Couser Building: This is approximately an 89,000 square foot active nursing home facility housing 240 residents, initially constructed in 1967 and renovated in 1995. Future projects are:Renovation of entire interior, Roof replacement, Kitchen Flooring project. Simon Building: This is approximately 30,000 square feet, built in 1957, and renovated in 1996. Houses administration, Town Center, OT/PT inpatient and outpatient services. Future Projects: RTU replacement, Roof replacement. Glenmere Building is approximately 69,000 square feet, built in 1996. Houses 120 residents. Future projects: RTU replacement, Roof replacement, Resident bathroom sink replacement. Water Towers, 2 towers totaling 850,000 gallons, Future projects: Evaluate condition, Carbon filtration. Sewage treatment plant future projects: Evaluate and engineer upgrades, capital plan needed. 36 acres of grounds, future projects: 6-year capital plan evaluation. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
