The Bahia Vista Floodplain Reclamation Project was constructed approximately 16 years ago along Phillippi Creek in Sarasota County, Florida. The project is approximately a half mile long and consists of an earthen dike, concrete flood walls, floodplain compensation area, and a pump station. There is a walking and bicycle trail on top of the levee. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
