The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified service providers for Pump Repair Services for the Beaver Ruin Pump Station for the Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources (GCDWR). The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is soliciting competitive pricing for Pump Repair Services for the Beaver Ruin PS pumps. The facility consists of a two-stage pumping system with four (4) first stage dry well mounted pumps and four (4) second stage booster pumps. The pumps are Fairbanks model 2426, with 24.90-inch impellers, 700 HP motors for operation at 1190 RPM. The pumps have been in service since 2015 and require reconditioning due to severe wear of the impellers and volutes. The Beaver Ruin PS is a critical component of the County wastewater collection and transmission system. Because of this, the repair of the pumps is urgent to ensure the required pumping capacity is available at all times, especially during high flow events. The required work will include, but not limited to the following key services: Removal of the pumps and transporting to the repair facility; Repair and reconditioning of the pumps; Delivery and reinstallation of pumps; Alignment and performance testing of repaired pumps. The repair work will be required on each of the eight installed pumps plus the spare volute and rotating assembly. During the work, there must be at least three (3) operational units for both the first and second stage pump system at all times. All suppliers must submit with bid, a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. Failure to submit a bid bond with the proper rating will result in the bid being deemed nonresponsive.
