The City of Richmond is accepting bids for the construction of the Belvidere Street Gateway Phase IV – Signal, Crosswalk and Sidewalk Improvements. The project scope encompasses general contracting services that include, but are not limited to: mobilization, maintenance of traffic (vehicular and pedestrian), lane closures, sidewalk closures, traffic signal construction, traffic signal replacement, landscaping, conduit installation, fiber optic installation, pavement markings, sidewalk construction, sidewalk and curb demolition and replacement, handicap ramp installation, pavement patching, tree root work, adjusting utility castings, adjusting/replacing drainage structures, and all other work necessary to install signals, crosswalks and sidewalk. These signal, crosswalk and sidewalk improvements will improve pedestrian access and safety along Belvidere Street at the intersections of Rowe Street, Spring Street and Idlewood Avenue/W. Byrd Street. The Base Bid includes all work associated with the improvements of Belvidere Street at the intersection of Rowe Street and at the intersection of Idlewood Avenue/W. Byrd Street. Time for completion: 270 consecutive calendar days. MBE goal 12%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
