The Town of Wethersfield is seeking Proposals for qualified Mechanical Contractors to provide a turnkey replacement of two existing hot water heating boilers and associated appurtenances at the Hanmer Elementary School located in Wethersfield, CT. The Proposal shall include provision of the two new boilers and all demolition and new construction work identified in the scope of work and shall comply with Terms and Conditions and other documents provided by the Town of Wethersfield. In general, this Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to replace the heating boilers, main circulation pumps, piping and other equipment as follows: remove and replace two existing gas fired hot water firetube boilers and replace with two new condensing gas fired hot water boilers, remove and replace two base mounted hot water distribution pumps, remove existing heating hot water piping, valves trim and accessories as indicated, remove existing boiler breechings and patch masonry chimney, provide a new Energy Management System boiler room controller and network server, provide electrical work as required, provide general trades work as required (concrete, window/louvers, roofing, etc.), and coordinate new DDC temperature controls with Energy Management & Controls Systems to be installed in the school under a separate contract. Prevailing wages apply.
