Sidewalk in front of 807/809/811 Main Street, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 Meeting will be held rain or shine. Face masks will be required.

It is the intent of this IFB to establish a contract for exterior demolition of the Broadway Theater, part of the City of Myrtle Beach Downtown Arts & Innovation District. All demolition work to be exterior only, except for board up procedures. No abrasive techniques to be used against original substrate. No façade paint removal included in this scope. 807 Main Street – Helen Mates Building ; Remove EIFS from front façade and second floor side walls. All foam work to be removed; however, some adhered foam on the substrate will be acceptable as long as the substrate material can be examined for its makeup and condition. Second Floor Windows: At front elevation, remove four windows and EIFS trim. Install a 2x6 on all sides of window opening using lag screws. “Board Up Procedures” will be secured to these 2x6s. At rear elevation, install “Board Up Procedures” on two existing windows. Existing significant exterior items to remain intact: Existing first floor storefront. Existing flagstones at sidewalk level. Existing wood paneling adjacent to main entry door. Existing display case adjacent to main entry door. Existing exterior ceiling in front of storefront. Bids for a service only that is $25,000.00 or greater must be accompanied by a bidder’s bond or cashier’s check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total dollar amount of the bid submitted, payable to the City of Myrtle Beach. No other forms of security will be accepted.
