1.1 Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with an FDOT pre-qualified Contractor to provide construction services to widen an existing two (2) lane undivided (four (4) lane divided) arterial roadway to a four (4) lane divided arterial roadway. The scope of work encompasses the construction of approximately 2 miles of roadway, which includes, but is not limited to, a new bridge crossing, drainage improvements, two (2) on road bike lanes, a 10’ asphalt path, 5’ concrete sidewalk, improvements to the existing intersection at SR 78/Pine Island Road and Burnt Store Road, embankment, sod, street lighting, core level landscaping/irrigation (SR 78/Pine Island Road to north of Van Buren Parkway and other roadway appurtenances shown in the solicitation package. The scope of work also includes signing, pavement marking, maintenance of traffic, intersection lighting and installation/removal of erosion control measures. Each Bidder shall submit not less than five percent (5%) of the proposed dollar amount (including applicable Alternates) as Bid Bond/Security. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
