Separate sealed bids will be received for the following: Contract No. 1G – General Construction and Contract No. 1E – Electrical Construction. The project work sites are located on Button Road and Lower Newtown Road in the Town of Halfmoon, New York. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including but not necessarily limited to the following: Construction of a 1,000,000-gallon elevated water storage tank and associated appurtenances including miscellaneous site work, grading, concrete foundation, foundation piles, tank erection, tank coating and disinfection, piping, altitude valve vault, fencing, paved access road and parking area, and erosion and sediment control measures. Open-cut installation of approximately 670 linear feet of 10-inch high density polyethylene water main to connect the proposed water storage tank to the existing water distribution system, including all associated piping, fittings, hydrants, valves, and the hydrostatic testing and disinfection of the water main. Electrical work associated with the proposed water storage tank construction. Electrical work associated with the proposed pressure reducing valve station (Contract 2) located on Lower Newtown Road. Site restoration including topsoil and seeding. Work zone traffic control. Bonds required.
