Work included here as Base Bid: all work as indicated in these Specifications and on the accompanying Drawings. The intent of this project is the replacement of wastewater pumps serving the existing “Lower Pump Station” in the Camp Hero Community Wastewater System located in Montauk, NY. The scope of work of these plans + specifications is to: dewater wet well and maintained pumped out condition to permit proposed work and avoid backups or overflows in the system. Pumped wastewater shall be managed by Suffolk County licensed wastewater hauler. De-energize existing duplex pump system and remove pumps from wet well. Removed pumps shall be pressured washed with clean water and left onsite. Five float system of activators and all discharge and power and communication lines shall be protected for re-use. Contractor shall be trained and equipped for confined space entry to perform portions of the work. Furnish and install a duplex system of grinder pumps + access rail system 5. Integrate new pumps and rail system with existing float activators, electric power, communication lines, vent lines and force main discharge pipes. Integrate new pumps with existing Control Panel and Mission M110 Monitoring System. Perform re-start and commissioning of wastewater pump station with new pumps and existing controls. Perform start-up testing and prepare startup report in Manufacturer recommended format. Perform three months of service and maintenance following start-up testing. Provide warranties provided by manufacturer. Add Alternate #1 Scope of Work - Furnish & install new control panel if determined necessary and authorized in writing by owner/engineer. Disconnect and abandon existing panel. Add Alternate #2 Scope of Work – Remove & dispose of existing single man door to pump house and furnish and install new double man door. The time of completion of the entire contract work shall be (60) sixty days. The date of such completion shall be the date of the Certification of Completion herein specified.
