The contractor is responsible to move furniture as needed to complete the project. Details will be discussed during the pre-bid meeting.Remove and dispose of existing carpet and any existing cove base, prepare substrate for application of new carpet or luxury vinyl plank and cove base, install carpeting or luxury vinyl plank and cove base in the specified areas. Should carpet be selected, successful bidder shall provide samples of selected manufactured carpet. Color and pattern to be selected by Dougherty County Facilities Management. Brand of carpet used will be Milliken or Shaw commercial carpet. Should LVP be selected, the successful bidder shall provide samples of the selected manufactures LVP line. Acceptable manufactures- Armstrong Natural Creations Classics, Mannington, Mohawk, or Shaw. Color and pattern to be selected by Dougherty County Facilities Management. Carpet is to be commercial carpet squares only. Luxury Vinyl Plank shall be commercial grade with a minimum wear layer of 28 mil and a minimum thickness of 5 mm or higher. LVP is to include a protective topcoat and be rated for commercial traffic. Cove base shall be 1/8” thick rubber, pre-molded, rounded-top and cove base; 4” high, butt type with both ends stops and pre-formed corners. Color to be selected by Dougherty County Facilities Management. Successful bidder shall provide samples. This is a turnkey project and must be completed in 210 days to include weekends as needed. Some locations MUST be completed afterhours and on weekends. 5% Bid Bond is required of all bidders. Bid bond must be present for bid to be read or considered. 100% Performance and Payment bonds will be required of the successful bidder.
