This project will be the construction of a new 2,900 SF Community Center – Including exterior stairs and portico - located in the Caxambas Park, at 909 Collier Court, Marco Island, Florida. Collier County Parks & Recreation is replacing the existing United States Coastguard Auxiliary Station trailer with a new Facility. The location will be west of the existing location and moved out of the FEMA VE zone to an AE zone. The building will include a large meeting/training room, restrooms, a small break room and a few offices. It consists of one floor, placed at an elevation of 10’- 0” above the fin. grade. Cast in place concrete columns will support a cast in place slab. The building will have a standing seam metal roof over shop fabricated wood trusses, and walls will be CMU with stucco finish. Two stairs and a wheelchair lift will provide access to the elevated floor. For additional details please refer to the Construction Drawings and the Specifications. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check or a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid to be retained as liquidated damages in the event the Successful Bidder fails to execute the Agreement and file the required bonds and insurance within ten (10) calendar days after the receipt of the Notice of Award.
