Anne Arundel County Schools invites bids for Ceiling and Lighting Replacement at Arundel Middle School. Scope: A. Demolish existing concealed spline ceiling systems as indicated on the plans. B. Provide acoustical tile and grid ceiling systems as indicated on plans. C. Demolish existing fluorescent lighting fixtures as indicated on the plans. D. Provide LED lighting fixtures as indicated on the plans. E. Demolish existing line-voltage lighting controls as indicated on the plans. F. Provide low-voltage lighting control system as indicated on the plans. G. Remove and reinstall existing ceiling mounted wireless access points, security cameras, and distributed antenna system devices as indicated on the plans. H. Demolish existing abandoned low-voltage systems cabling above existing ceilings. I. Support existing to remain low-voltage systems cabling above ceilings. J. Test existing low-voltage systems to verify systems are functional after device reinstallation and modifications to cable supports. K. Modify existing ductwork serving existing surface mounted air devices as indicated on the plans. L. Replace existing surface mounted air devices with recess mounted air devices as indicated on the plans. M. Test and balance new air devices. N. Project is to be phased. O. See Section 01 2300 “Alternates” for additional work. Substantial Completion shall be no later than August 17, 2024. Questions due no later than 2:00 pm on Monday, October 17, 2022. MBE goal 29%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
