The City’s current Character Area Map was originally adopted in 2014 as part of the City of Brookhaven 2034 Comprehensive Plan. Since that time, the City has completed several annexations and has incorporated those new areas which are located south of I85 into the Buford Highway Corridor Character Area. However, this area has been determined to need visioning separate and apart from the existing character area. With that in mind, the City desires to amend the existing comprehensive plan to create a new character area. This includes providing a description, vision statement, and general implementation strategies for the area. To that end, the Department of Community Development has prepared the following scope of work. The City also desires to analyze how this area interacts/transitions with the area bounded by LaVista Road to the south and Clairmont Road to the east.
