Beginning at the project location, Morris View Healthcare Center, 540 West Hanover Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07960.
Trades: HVAC Contractor: Heating Ventilating Air Conditioning and Controls, Air Chillers
The work is primarily the removal of the current chillers and the installation of new chillers which will be connected to the existing building control system. Principal Work: Replace the 1000 Ton Chiller Plant: The contractor shall perform all work associated with removing the two (2) existing 500 ton chillers and all associated accessories and controls, and with disconnecting the two existing chillers from existing condenser water and chilled water piping. The contractor shall modify condenser water and chilled water piping in order to connect two (2) new 500 ton chillers to the existing chiller plant. Replace the concrete and steel supports for the new chillers, reconnect to existing water treatment system. Install New Refrigerant Monitoring System: The contractor shall perform all work associated with installing a new refrigerant monitoring system including all accessories, controls, wiring, etc. The new refrigerant monitor shall be interlocked with the existing exhaust fan above the chillers. Electrical Work: The contractor shall perform all electrical work associated with upgrading the HVAC systems. This shall include all work associated with the new chiller plant controls, replacement chillers, etc. Commissioning: The contractor shall perform all work associated with assisting the owner to commission the entire chiller plant system. Testing, Balancing and Training: The contractor shall perform all work associated with testing and balancing the upgraded chiller plant. the contractor shall train the building maintenance personnel, in coordination with the existing building management system vendor - TPS, on the proper operation of the upgraded chiller plant. The above description of the work is for general information only and in no way limits the responsibility of the Contractor for accomplishing the work in strict accordance with the Construction Drawings and Specifications. All work and punch list items shall be completed within three-hundred and sixty-five (365) calendar days after notification of award of contract and notice to proceed from the Superintendent of Buildings & Grounds’ office.
