As a result of this RFP, the City hopes to identify and enter into a contract with a qualified and motivated telecommunications contractor to design and build outside-plant fiber optic infrastructure, and interconnect the City’s existing fiber optic Institutional Network to a City-owned property terminating three (3) pairs of fiber from a cable with at least two hundred eighty-eight (288) count to connect and make ready spare strands in a fiber-hub distribution to allow future growth for City sites as a starting point, in a hub-and-spoke topology. Project is Federally funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and is subject to federal regulations.
