The Main Campus Upgrades (MCU) encompasses projects related to the renovation and construction of the main campus chilled water plant. This will include the Underground Chilled Water Mains project #50189, the New Chiller Plant Building K project #50214, and the J1/J2 Generator and Platform project #53172. The Construction Manager’s work will commence with the pre-construction services phase as a part of the comprehensive Construction Manager at Risk contract. Pre-construction services are included with the Construction Manager’s responsibilities for the design phase of the project. Prior to commencing construction, the Construction Manager will assume the risk of delivering the Project through a GMP contract amendment. The Construction Manager will be responsible for construction means and methods and will be required to solicit bids from qualified subcontractors to perform the work of the project. During the construction phase, the Construction Manager shall be solely responsible for performance of the Project and shall function in the role of an independent General Contractor. That role may include, but not be limited to, the following during each Phase.
