The Project consists of construction of a new dual-fuel (biogas and natural gas) internal combustion engine cogeneration system. To accomplish this work, the Contractor will have to complete the work items indicated on the Drawings and Specifications, including but not limited to the following: Demolition of two existing supply fans, sky lights, and conduits within the existing Solids Handling Building; installation of one new owner-furnished cogeneration engine-generator, remote radiator, heat recovery and exhaust silencer units, two new urea totes and scale systems, static mixer, two heat recovery pumps, other ancillary equipment, and related items; procurement and installation of required piping, insulation, and instrumentation between owner-furnished equipment; procurement and installation of a hot water heat exchanger, hot water pump and associated piping to connect to the Plant's existing Hot Water Loop; procurement and installation of bypass biogas piping and associated flow meters and valves to recirculate biogas through the existing biogas conditioning system; procurement and installation of two new supply fans on the roof of the Solids Handling Building and associated ducting inside the existing engine room; replacement of portions of the existing Solids Handling Building roofing material; procurement and installation of one new programmable logic controller, owner-furnished cogeneration switchgear, owner-furnished vendor control panels, and related items; connect new heat recovery system to existing Hot Water Loop piping; connect new biogas and natural gas piping to existing systems; repair and reconstruction of existing improvements affected by the Work, and incidentals for a complete usable facility. Project duration is 400 Calendar Days. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply.
