The work to be performed under this contract consists of, but is not limited to, the following: Furnishing and installing a complete well system (Well No. 10), consisting of but not limited to, a vertical turbine well pump and motor, well building including reinforced concrete footings, CMU block walls, wood framed pitched roof, flow meter, piping, valves, fittings, supports, access hatch, and any other essential appurtenances for a complete operational system and electrical systems. Renovating existing Well No. 6 building in accordance with Contract Documents. Decommissioning existing Well No. 6 in accordance with the Contract Documents. Contractor is responsible for surface restoration of all disturbed areas. Contractor is responsible for construction layout and for verification of existing utility locations and depths. Contractor is responsible for obtaining any required permits to perform the work that have not been obtained by the Owner. Following the construction of the Well 10 well, wellhouse, and appurtenances, there will be a minimum 8-week period for the NJDEP to approve Well 10 and issue a Permit to Operate. Well 6 cannot be decommissioned/abandoned, and Well 10 cannot be placed into service until the NJDEP issues the Permit to Operate. The contractor is advised that their schedule should allow for other work, not impacted by the Permit to Operate, to be performed while waiting to receive this Permit. This contract includes a time of completion of 270 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. All work shall be completed within 180 calendar days from the actual date the work is started in the field. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
