The work covered by this section of the specification consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials necessary to perform all operations in connection with the cleaning and sealing of construction, pavement deformation and random cracks in bituminous concrete pavements, and vegetation removal, sediment removal, and sterilization of cracks where necessary. The Contractor shall perform crack sealing operations consistent with the specifications and procedures described below as directed by the Commissioner of Public Services, or his designee and in accordance with all Mass DOT specifications and standard measurement methods and industry practices.
