Project consists of deepening of the Port of Hueneme federal navigation channels. The new design depths will -44 ft MLLW for the Approach Channel and -40 ft MLLW for the remainder of harbor. Approximately 385,000 total cubic yards to be dredged. Approx 18,000 cy of unsuitable material to be placed in existing Confined Aquatic Disposal (CAD ) site within the harbor. Remainder of dredge material can be placed either in the Nearshore Placement Site or onto Hueneme Beach, located south of the Entrance Channel. Timber piles will be encountered in Channel A. Contractor must obtain Ventura County Air Pollution Control District permit.
