Contractor must have heavy-duty equipment, sufficient to safely complete the building removal and transport of debris off premises, treating both the home and garage structures as ‘hot’ in the absence of being able to test for asbestos.Contractor must also demo foundation walls, break floor slab, remove the 1000 gallon underground oil tank and use masonry material for backfill. Tank shall be pumped empty prior to heavy demolition (Fire Department permit is required). All brought infill shall be certified clean. Backfilling shall comply with section 111-25 of the City Code for the City of New Rochelle. Removal of the approximately 25” caliper tree behind the garage (that is to be demolished) and the large fallen tree trunk on the ground nearby. All demolition debris will be disposed of legally. Contractor will cut sewer service at the property line as required. Contractor will arrange with Con Edison for disconnection of gas and electrical services as required. Contractor will arrange with Suez for disconnection of water services as required. All work shall comply with asbestos code rule 56. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
