WebEx A site visit will be held on September 23, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. meeting at 23 Grove Place, Schenectady, New York then visiting the remaining properties. Attendance is strongly encouraged.
Provide all temporary power or utilities required for the completion of demolition and earthwork. Provide for all temporary protection of existing curbs and roadways and provide adequate fencing of the construction site. Comply with City requirements for shutdown of sidewalks or traffic lanes, if needed to complete the work. Provide any protection necessary to prevent damage to adjacent structures. Perform asbestos abatement. Demolition and disposal of buildings identified at the Project Site, including stairs and signage (and their foundations) associated with the buildings. Abandon below-grade construction by cutting foundation walls two feet below grade at the Project Site. Drill at least a 1-foot diameter hole and create additional cracks in basement floor to allow for drainage through the floor. Place and compact clean fill in basement areas to bring soil levels to grade. All areas covered by the project, including filled sections and adjacent areas affected by heavy equipment, shall be uniformly smooth-graded. Grade to prevent pooling or ponding areas and to direct rainwater away from nearby structures. Apply topsoil and seed all affected areas of the project. Bonds required. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
