Domestic Hot Water Tempering Assembly Purchase Specification: A new factory assembled hot water tempering system shall be provided equal to the Powers LFIS150C00LP electronic system illustrated in the image below. There shall be 3 of these assemblies required with all being identical. These assemblies shall be purchased directly by Cal Vet and shall not be part of an overall construction project. Allowed manufactures to quote on these assemblies are, but not limited to, the following. • Powers • Watts • Leonard • Caleffi The assembly shall be able to control the mixing of 140F hot water supply and range to return temperatures to generate a fixed leaving hot water temperature of 120F +/- 2F over a range of 0.5 gpm to 60 gpm with maximum of 5 psid pressure drop at the maximum flow rate. Electronic valve control is required. The factory frame shall come fully equipped as illustrated in the image above plus the factory purchase and installation of an ECM pump rated at 13 gpm at 38 ftHD. A recommended selection from Bell & Gossett was made and listed in the image however any equivalent pump may be submitted. The hot water return from the facility shall be a 1” pipe while all other piping connections to this assembly shall be 2”. The controller shall be pre-programmed at the factory to control the hot water for a leaving temperature of 120F and must stay within the maximum allowed variation of +/- 2F. The frame and all its components shall be shipped fully assembled and programmed. All pricing shall include all freight for delivery and off loading at the job site in Redding, Ca. A quoted time for delivery from date of order shall be included in the pricing. A quoted price for accelerated delivery time is desired. Factory shall provide a parts and performance warranty of a minimum of 1 year. All assemblies shall be evaluated on its performance in meeting the needs of this facility and may be rejected for any reason considered. Additional features available for consideration may be proposed noting their cost and their advantage to the performance of these assemblies. Factory or vendor representatives may be asked to participate in a web design or review meeting if their product is in consideration. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
