It is the intent of Charlotte County to secure the services of a an experienced and licensed Plumber or General Contractor to furnish and install all piping and appurtenances, abandonment of existing septic tanks and restoration to successfully connect approximately 74 properties in the El Jobean East – Phase 2, and certain properties within Phase 1 area as shown on the map and address list included as attachments to the newly constructed vacuum central sewer system, in accordance with the Florida Plumbing Code, Federal, State and Local rules and regulations. This work involves the installation of the sanitary service lines from the existing buildings to the appropriate sewer service lateral for each property, installed by CCUD at the right-of- way/property line in accordance with all permitting requirements including notification to and approval from Charlotte County Building Construction Division of a plumbing inspection. CCUD will obtain the actual plumbing permit from Charlotte County Building Construction Division and pay for all permit fees. The work also includes the proper abandonment, demolition or removal of the existing septic tank(s) as per the Florida Department of Health/Florida Department of Environmental Protection regulations/requirements, (all fees are taken care of by CCUD) and all other work and restoration for a complete project. CCUD will obtain approval of each property owner to complete the work on each property. Contractor shall complete all work at any residence (house or property) within 36 hours of beginning work at the residential home or commercial property. Other specific details and requirements are provided in these technical specifications and special provisions.
