Jessup Correctional Institution Gatehouse Roll Call Room, 7800 House of Correction Rd, Jessup, MD. Pre-Bid Tours of electrical systems located inside the Institutions are scheduled for the week of October 18th. Starting on Monday October 18th at 8:00am. A sign up sheet will be provided on October 12, 2021 and will be limited to 10 individuals per day. Attendees must provide proof of vaccination or a negative covid test within 7 days of any walk through in order to be allowed to attend both the Pre-bid on October 12 and subsequent site visits the week of October 18. Estimate: Over $15m

Scope: 1. Upgrade of site-wide electrical infrastructure from 4.16 kV to 13.2 kV including all pad mounted transformers and switches. The complex consists of five (5) correctional facilities as well as several standalone service buildings. 2. Replacement of 35 kV to 4.16 kV BGE substation with 35 kV to 13.2 kV substation including new switchgear, transformers, and incoming BGE feeders. 3. Repowering each of the facilities will consist of a combination of connection to existing feeders, pulling new feeders through existing ductbank, and new feeders routed in new ductbank. 4. Existing generators will be replaced at the Boiler Plant and at MCI-J. 5. The existing site wide metering E-Mon D-Mon system will be extended to all new transformers. 6. Low voltage electrical equipment replacement is included for various buildings throughout the site. 7. The electrical upgrades will be installed. Q&A due by 2pm, 11/2/21. MBE goal 20%.
